My name is Kate Franchimon. I am an award winning Gourd Artist.  I have been working with gourds for 10+ years. Have taught classes and taken them. I am lucky enough to have been at the Anacortes Art Festival for the last four years and hope to be there again this year in August.

Kate has been interested in gourds for about 20 years, but it didn’t turn into a passion until 2004. She works with ink dyes, woodburning, dremel and dental tools, and what ever else is handy. She was an Instructor of gourd art but loves working on them herself even more.
